Current Projects

I just completed a semester of fieldwork in Kuwait and am currently working on my dissertation, which focuses on women’s political agency in Kuwait and the Middle East.

Additionally, I am also working on:

• Banning the Burqa - a project focusing on the policing of Muslim women’s bodies in Europe and the intersection of patriarchy, religion, and the state.

• Why Aren’t They Winning? Woman Candidates in Kuwait - a project focusing on woman candidates in Kuwait and why they have yet to gain traction when running for office.
