The Classroom & Teaching
I believe that classrooms are collaborative places, where knowledge is shared, and communities of learners are created. I strive to make my classrooms inclusive spaces; where all participants can move freely without the fear of harassment, where a diverse set of ideas and opinions are celebrated, and where the curriculia includes many voices. Since experiential learning, discussion, and listening are the cornerstones of productive learning spaces, I endeavor to make each class reflect a combination of these things.
I have taught for the past four years at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville and before that at Appalachian State University for a year. To the left you will find a list of the courses I have taught and the syllabi for them.
